I've just purchased a rear view camera, rather than a rear bumper mounted job it's of the type that mounts at high level and looks down (as it's needed principally for parking)

This means that it will need fixing to the outside wall of the MH, and I'm very wary of causing future water ingress problems. Any advice please?

Ours is mounted on the roofrack rear bar.

On a previous MH we used Sikaflex.

Mounted mine in the rear window - if you had one you can do the same? ::bigsmile:

It will be fine as long as you seal it with bedding sealer where it screws in - don't forget to maintain the seal over the years, and more often than the windows etc due to vibration weakening the seal.

Once you have made the screw holes, fill them with sealer and a little for the mount contact and then screw down. Keep it on a flat surface and with framework behind.

Use an electrical box designed for the job that has a bulkhead fitting to pass through the wall. Plenty of high quality sealant/adhesive and you will be fine.

Mounted ours on the high level brake light cowling, remove the cover as if changing the bulbs, drill a hole in the plastic cowl for the wire and thread through the hole in the van where the brake light cable goes.So no holes in van:thumb:
