quick question is Motorhome ncd different from car ncd and can it be transferred from one to another?

Often not transferable.
Some insurers will match in some sort of fashion. NFU do this.

Quite a few companies will match you car NCB but won't give protected no claims for the first year.
A few companies Comfort is one that have a net policy, no NCB they just give you their best price.

They don't necessarily state it as a no claims bonus but will take it into account. I have just moved from Comfort to CAMC and I had to provide proof of no claims to CAMC. Even though Comfort stated they didn't do no claims bonus when I first went with them, they were happy to provide a letter for CAMC saying I had had no claims for 3 years and classed it as 50% discount -which was taken into account at CAMC.

I have a similar arrangement with my specialist sports car insurance
