Ye
You might as well have a look for the ark while you are over there. Think noah left it up that way somewhere.
Far too early to be that far north and east in turkey. Should have stayed on the med coast in the warm sunshine.

Yes if and it's a big if I can get near to the place for the ark I plan to go ...I've a few places marked for between here and Georgia.. I've only 6 weeks left before I have to leave Turkey so I couldn't stay on the south coast much longer and to be honest it was getting a little boring .. the coast is not as nice as Greece

Arrived in van yesterday afternoon... parked up beside the castle and thought I'd get a few pics with the drone, so I took off and was only at around 15 feet and taking it across the field towards the castle when a warming flashed up on the screen it was in an enhanced no fly zone and it automatically landed , that's when I remembered there was an airport on the other side of the castle 🤦‍♂️ so I didn't get any pics with the drone. Shame really as it is the only way to get good photos of that castle.

Here's the few that I took from the ground

The parking spot wasn't great ,full of rubbish, broken glass etc and noisy so I moved to a picnic spot by the lake. .. its not great either but did for last night

. I wanted to stay close to town so I can do some shopping this morning and if any garages are open on a Sunday here I might get my oil change done but probably not. No desperate rush as I've actually only done 9000 miles not 10000.. I miscalculated.

But I'll get it done in Turkey at somrpoint

Getting Better
Weather has been wet and fairly cold here in Cornwall too, I have some stuff in the van to do and need a few dry days to do it, I have been using the van non stop as a daily driver now and all has been ok with getting around so I’m now going to sell my car..😢 which is a shame as I really like it but having two vehicles on the drive is ridiculous for me…

Those two horse riders reminds me of Outer Mongolia scenes…😆😎

That's me told! 🤐
Well as long as your enjoying yourself and staying warm that's the main thing, Mount Ararat is very beautiful although we only viewed it from afar, we didn't go right up to it, the old city of Kars near Armenia is also very interesting and beautiful and then your practically back at sea level at Rize, we didn't do Georgia but will probably take a spin out that way in a few weeks time, heading back home soon to check the post then we'll head off again 🙂

I hope those eggs don’t make your fridge smell. It took me months to get rid of the smell of one broken egg. I tried every method suggested by the good folks on here.
Shame about the tagine. You’ll have to go back to Morocco to replace it.

You keep eggs in the fridge? Mine are just in a cupboard. But here you get 15 large eggs for £1.15 so not a big deal...I've 12 left . I am gutted about my tajine though .. it was nicely seasoned.

John kept eggs in the fridge till he met me, uncle was insistent that his eggs should be kept at room temperature.
Look forward to your photos tomorrow, glad you didn't meet anything on that road
Or did you?

Lots now
In America they have to wash all eggs by law this takes off the natural seel that keeps the eggs fresh, in Europe there not forced to wash the eggs so are perfectly safe to keep in an ambient temperature. Not sure about other parts of the world.

We've driven through some serious snow this morning right up the Iranian border lots of military checks too.

I'm now in dogzbullocks, went to ishak palace and I was going to try for noahs ark national park but the Belgians tried it yesterday and couldn't get there as the road is just a mud bath due to melting snow

I don’t keep eggs in the fridge when I’m at home but the fridge seems the safest place to keep them in the van, for some reason. In the cupboard they could get knocked by tins that fall over.

That’s a great photo of Blu with the mountains in the background. Good use of colour matching
