LPG tank (1 Viewer)

Hi,
We've been agonising for a while over what to buy and decided on a bespoke van conversion.
The plan was to go for a Renault Master as they do an automatic and it seems to suit in most other ways
However. we wanted an LPG tank fitted underneath, and have been told there's no room for one.
Has anyone any thoughts on this, please?

Room is a major consideration when mounting lpg tanks under the van.

They are mostly cylindrical in build due to being a pressure vessel.

You need by law,a minimum clearance (tank bottom-ground) of 250mm (10.5") or use a skid plate to protect it.Multiple smaller diameter cylinder tanks are an option but are a lot more expensive to implement.

Available mounting space, proximity to the exhaust pipe are other things to consider as is the strength of the mounting area and total weight when full, of the tank.

Toroidal tanks are best for internal / boot mounting but need a vented/sealed cover over the valves.

I have a MAJOR LPG build going on at the moment.

Have you considered refillable bottles such as Gaslow ?
As good as a tank with the benefit of being able to be removed if you sell the van ..

Also consider a diesel heater, this will save a lot of gas and negate the need to carry so much, one bottle of LPG would then be a feasible .

I know space is at a premium on van conversions but this may be the better option..
