No is the short answer the springs are the parabolic type and need no maintenance except a wash off now and again

No, most definitely not!!!

They'll get covered in dust, grit and road dirt and grind themselves away. Leave them be as they're designed that way. Grease only nipples if you have any, but nothing else:)

As PP Bear says. If you look closely you'll see they have nylon pads where the leaves bear against each other.
