Has anyone stayed at Camping Europa Menaggio on Lake Como Italy. Reviews mostly say terrible. I'm looking for a campsite on the lake walking distance to ferry to visit friends in Bellagio. Any ideas?? Just want somewhere with clean hot showers really.

Sites on the lakeside are usually large and lacking charm. Their facilities tend to be well maintained and of a decent standard. There are many smaller sites which offer more charm a little further from the lake shore. It depends what you want.

Hi last year we stayed at Magic Lake Camping Dongo lovely site family run and on the lake, you can get the bus outside to ferries, check it out
