I have managed to reconcile my old printed list of attendees with Andy's list and taken account of those Funsters (quite a few) who have already advised they will not be arriving.
The following Funsters need to advise their day of arrival please:

I have assumed anyone on the original list who hadn't paid their deposit is not going to attend.
I will post directions and other details tomorrow.

Mike old chap, did mention at Thetford that I wouldn't be going (France etc) and to give my deposit to charity or a Funster desperate to go!! Your choice mate. Hope you all have a great time and sorry I can't be there with you.

Hartlepool Marina Monkey Hangers Rally 16 - 20 July

Information

ADDRESS:

DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH:
Leave A19 at junction with A689 and follow directions for Hartlepool town centre, this road will take you all the way to your destination. It is dual carriageway all the way.
After a few miles you will come to the town centre with firstly Camerons Brewery and then the Middleton Grange shopping centre both on your left.
Keep straight on over the railway bridge and you will see the masts of HMS Trincomalee ahead of you.
Continue straight on with Asda on your left (cheapest diesel and LPG in town here if you need to fill up).
At the next roundabout go all the way around the roundabout to return in the opposite direction and then turn immediately left after 50 yards.
The rally site will be straight ahead of you.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH:
Leave the A19 at the junction with the A179 and follow signs for Hartlepool Town Centre, this road will take you all the way to your destination. It is dual carriageway nearly all the way.
You will eventually approach a roundabout where you will clearly see the masts of HMS Trincomalee ahead of you.
Go straight ahead at this roundabout and then turn immediately left after 50 yards.
The rally site will be straight ahead of you.
If you need to fill up with the cheapest diesel or LPG in town continue straight on after the roundabout and then turn right at the next roundabout for Asda.

FACILITIES:
I have arranged a standpipe for fresh water and there will be a manhole we can use to dispose of cassette and grey waste.
This has increased the costs of the rally but means we don't have to go to the other side of the Marina to use the Marina’s facilities which would be quite a trek.
There will be three large commercial size wheelie bins for rubbish which should be adequate.

ON ARRIVAL:
You will be parked up by either Andy (Techno100), Martin (Martin1485) or Bobby (Bobby22) .
I will also be around some of the time but am still recuperating from an operation so won’t be there full time.
Due to the nature of the site, long units will be parked separately from smaller units
You will receive a sheet on arrival showing where shopping facilities, bus stops, restaurants etc are located (most of which are within spitting distance of the rally site)
Also there will be a sheet of vouchers for Funster discounts at several of the restaurants in the Marina. The participating restaurants will want to see the vouchers before giving you the discount so make sure you take them with you if going out to eat.

ENTERTAINMENT:
There are many bars and restaurants in the Marina and the town centre and there is a Mecca Bingo and a multiscreen cinema within 5 minutes walk.
On Saturday there will be an evening of Funster entertainment in the Jacksons Wharf pub which is quite literally only 50 yards from the rally site. Close enough to crawl back to your van on hands and knees if you have particularly enjoyed the local ales!

PAYMENT:
For those who have paid their £10.00 deposit there will be a further payment of £7.00 payable on arrival.
For those who have booked late or have not yet paid for some reason (I know who you are!) the total rally fee of £17.00 will be payable on arrival.
Please try and have the right money available to make life easy for the Marshals.
Any surplus funds left after paying all the costs to Council, water companies, waste disposal etc will be donated to the local Hospice which does fantastic work on limited funds. Accounts will be available to view.

morning.....a bit confused (it does not take much) at the begining of thread it states 7 - 10 pound per unit per night......is the cost 17 pound for rally plus 10 per night????? would love to attend . however due to circumstance cant say for sure,,, it will have to be on the day if space is available and pay on arrival..... many thanks.

Total cost of rally is £17.00 which you can pay on arrival.
When I was originally planning the rally I though it would be more expensive than it has turned out.
But PLEASE let us know for sure as soon as you know which day you will be arriving.
