Our main rooflight would not close. Have disconnected the support on the jammed side and thankfully it has lowered enough to be secure and watertight.
It's a Heki windup model.
Repair sounds expensive. Has anyone had similar experience?
Thanks.

Awaiting the answer to this with baited breath. My roof light will not wind up and will not fasten down the winder just clicks when the handle is turned.
Let's hope someone on here can help.

Same thing happened to my winder. Used bungee to hold it down till I got to dealers. It was under warranty so they gave me the option of waiting 4 weeks for a replacement or change it to the later type-lift up no winding. Had lift up one fitted. Still waiting for the other one to pack up and I will change that to a lift up one.
PS. The winding gear had worn away and you can't get them separate Mike
