Well the decision has been made, I've put it off for a number of years hoping circumstances might change but have now decided to put the 820 up for sale.

I've put an ad on this site, and I must say what a joy that was compared to the "other" site, of which I've been a member for many years

If anyone is interested in a 36.000 mile van in excellent condition with loads of extras have a look at the website I've put together.

Hi Andrew, spooky as I'm "watching" your van on eBay. I found it last night. It looks a cracking van but I think it may be too long for us sadly. Good luck though.

Hi Andrew - saw your van on FB and just had to put a comment on your FB posting congratulating you on a absolutely gorgeous and immaculate van. It is superb and I have no idea how you have managed to keep it looking like that given that it's 10 years old. I'm sure you'll miss it - are you giving up motorhoming or downsizing?

Same here, brilliant van, i can't believe it's 10 years old, we would love it apart from Tez being 70 in Feb and he doesn't want to go to the medical bit.1300 payload! !! What a dream! !

What a lovely van! A little too long for me I'm afraid, but it is simply stunning!

    Good luck with the sale.

Thank you folks for your very kind comments.

I presume your references to length concern available space where you keep it, as I have encountered no issues with length whilst traveling.

Hi Dude, giving up, as circumstances are preventing us from getting away for any meaningful length of time.

I do love motorhoming , so you never know, I may be back....:)

The vehicle does you great credit, don't take a penny less than asking price.

A very desirable van indeed. Worth what you are asking as it cannot be compared with much on the market. Am sure you will have little problem converting it back to cash as there are always discerning buyers out there that appreciate quality instead of whats stuck on the bumper.

Just got back from Peter Hambilton's in Preston for habitation service and damp check, plus a few small jobs, and am pleased to say the van got a clean bill of health. Peter also said it's nice to have a van where everything works, praise indeed :)

Hi All, just thought I'd let you know that the van has a new owner.

Flew down this morning from Scotland, paid the full asking price, and is currently on his way back in it.

Thank you for all your kind comments

Glad you had rapid success with the sale but I'm not at all surprised. A beautiful motorhome - one I would really love to own. In fact I rushed out and measured the drive but if I parked it there, either the gate wouldn't shut or the garage door wouldn't open! My present van (Starline 630) has the same engine and transmission - it's a very nice Hymer but not in quite the same league as yours. I'll just have to content myself with the knowledge that at six and a half metres it's not such a squeeze on the drive.

Well, I'm in Scotland and would've been on a plane tomorrow with a bagfull of hard earned had I not been beaten to it!
    That motorhome is magnificent.

Little surprise it has gone...beautifully presented and the advert is a lesson itself in how to sell. Congratulations:)
