Hello to all, especially any knowledgeable Hymer owners.
I have just discovered an electrical control box with a circuit breaker switch next to the boiler in our recently acquired B544.
    See attached picture.
Can anyone tell me what it is ?
The switch was in the "Up" position when I bought it from a fairly unhelpful dealer who told me very little about the van.
I can find no mention of it in the masses of paperwork/manuals with the van.
I don't suppose its an immersion heater - is it ?

Looks like the 240v circuit breaker for when you are on electrical hook up.
If you contact Hymer with details of your van they will give you a link to download a user manual, I found them very helpful.

I have a B544SL and I have acontrol box the same as yours and it is definitely an RCD breaker for the mains supply in the motorhome.

As said, it's the 230V incoming mains protection. Switch on (UP) when hooked up in order to power the 230V sockets, charge the batteries and run the fridge on mains. When hooked up and switched on, you will see an amber warning light illuminated in the control panel (above the door in yours?).
