How to embed a Youtube video?

    Anyone help me with embedding a Youtube video? Follow the instructions on the Youtube site but what I copy and paste into the post doesn't change when I "preview post". Do I have to "Submit New Thread" to see the video?

    It usually works if you review it.

    while the vid is displayed, just copy the link in youtube, ctrl+C That's the link in your browser. up top that starts www.youtube etc

    And just paste it (ctrl +V) into your post:thumb:

    Thanks Jim, managed to successfully link a rather maudlin video but I was touched by it!

    for reasons unknown, that doesn't always work for me Jim. Win 7 and chrome.

    all i get in the preview and submitted page is the URL

    Some videos don't work for some reason. I am guessing it is the post parser.

    However if it doesn't work try using this
    then add the video ID.
    Remove all the other parts of the URL

    if it doesnt show the video i just leave the URL....a simple click opens it anyway :thumb:
