over a Year Yay................
OK people a previous owner has installed an A/C unit in the roof & removed the central light & cut down the door that separates the dinette to the lounge/bedroom.

As I am using the motor in winter I would like to put some kind of barrier in place to reduce the amount of heat that is lost over the top of this door into the over ventilated dinette.

I have seen inside unmodified Autostratus's & I know that gap is normally less than one inch more likely a quarter.

Ideas on a post card please....

not so newbie anymore - since 2016
I might consider putting a draft excluder brush on the bottom edge of the 4mm ply and closing off the vents in the ac unit on one side with some tape or clingfilm if there were still drafts but other than that, completely agree with the above two posts.

I'd use high density foam board. But why not stop the over ventilation of the dinette? What's the issue rooflights or floor grilles?
