With the frightening costs of Hymer headlights ( in excess of £2k ) and the long wait for delivery I went for a belt and braces approach and fitted Lamin X to mine today. The info on this product says it helps protect from stone damage.
At £77 for a 60”x12” roll I thought it would be a reasonable insurance.
Ordered from Funkmotorsport and delivered in 48 hours.
Thoroughly cleaned the headlights and it took about an hour to fit.
I had a small mastic profile squeegee that was perfect for the smoothing. You can lift the product many times to get out any air bubbles.
Fingers crossed it’s money well spent.

I’ve had it on our Almond shaped extremely expensive headlights since 2018, I reported on here somewhere a year or so ago it was standing up well with a couple signs that stones may have struck it, some light scuff marks.
I ordered mine direct from the USA because it was cheaper than ordering it here.
A worthwhile investment 👍
