Hi, the adjusters dont seem to be working,if I press the buttons with lights on the number on the dash indicator goes up and down but the light aim stays the same.
I tried it because now its darker I have noticed drivers headlamp is aimed a bit higher.
the bodyshop had the headlamp out a few months ago to paint the wing and door and Im sure headlamp aim was ok before, checked to make sure bulb was in ok then thought I would try the adjuster as head light looks to be fitted correctly.
does anyone know how the adjuster works,is it a motor and gear and is it acceesable if I take the unit out
    Thanks

I'd be taking it back to the body shop. They were the last to touch the headlamp.

Yes it is a motor but if they have refitted the headlight so it is pointing too high you wont notice the motor adjustment.(should hear the motor running though)
The bottom fixing screw for the light unit screws into an adjustable nut that sets the beam height. It is odds on that they don't understand how it functions so it will be wound right out from when they removed the bolt and still out when they put the bolt back resulting in the light pointing skywards

Here we go, this is the adjuster but it is a left hand thread so it actually winds out when putting the fixing bolt back in if the thread is not lubricated or the nut is not held behind while screwing the bolt in. EDIT BTW this applies to relay ducato & boxer X250
