Twice, I have driven too far up the levelling ramps and one has tilted up behind the front wheel and stuck.
Both times I have had to jack the van up to extricate the ramp. Has anyone else done the same daft manoeuvre?

More than toes wet now!
Very nearly!
Ramp had started to tip but managed to rescue the situation.
Very rarely use them right enough.
With previous ramps (used with caravan) I fitted an upstand to the highest end that made it difficult to over-run.

A couple of times SWMBO was merrily waving me up the ramp and only stopped waving when I went too far and hit the ground.

I've had the ramp fly forward like a rocket and nearly hit her - I think it was on gravel.

Never had to jack it up to retrieve the ramp.

@Foxy1956 I'm a bit worried about doing that now that I'm going to be travelling solo and asked how people manage in this recent thread http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/judging-levelling-ramps-alone.150775/ which may or may not help.
I think Gellyneck's idea of fitting an upstand to the highest point of the ramp is a good scheme. I can see the driver's side ramp easily, but because Sue is disabled she can't see her side. This might help you as well.

Aye. I've done it. Twice. Both times all that happened was a bump as I hit the ground. Nothing spectacular and not as big a jolt as going over some speed jumps in the road!

Only once but had a good audience of boy racers i the car park (flt).
Nonchalantly walked round, picked them out of the mudflaps, re-inserted and drove up correctly.

Sorry for any innuendo!!!
