Just wondering if any one can suggest anything from Dartford to Canterbury area with good overnight parking for one motorhome, dog friendly ideally.

Need for December before we check into a CACC site in Canterbury the following day -> but we want a nice pub meal for day/night one before we start cooking in the mh ourselves. We may use it on way out if it's good too.

Any suggestions on anything in area (we could also do Essex in Chelmsford too as it's sorta on way) that offers good, reasonably priced food, motorhome parking and overnight -> and ideally breakfast so we can have overnight, breakfast, then setoff for Canterbury (or home) at lunchtime.

you’d be hard pushed to beat Canterbury park n ride, it’s 4quid a night, water, elsan and even a toilet until 7pm.

Free bus service both ways into Canterbury, a really nice pub more or less next door and it’s a nice one as well.

If you can beat this please tell us where it is 👍

The cost at Canterbury P&R has doubled !!!

They charge £4 per 24 hrs or part thereof.
The 24hrs starts at midnight.
If you arrive at 23.50 and leave at 00.10 the cost will be £8
ANPR, pay by card on departure.

Overnight stopping places alternatives:
There is a place here at Preston (2m east of Canterbury)

We have not stayed here, but he runs a business selling motorhome bits from a chalet at the end of the garden and has a private CL in the field next door.

There are two other campsites in Preston as backup, one which is right opposite the pub (not been in there for several years, but it used to be OK)
