At long last, collected our brand new Bailey 625 yesterday, and with the exception of the double bed roll out slats being cut too short causing the bed to collapse as soon as any weight is put on it (dealers looking at a solution tomorrow) we are delighted with it.

One problem I hadn't anticipated though is how difficult it would be to climb into the cab to drive. There are no grab handles where you would expect them, only the lightweight jobbie above the window, and not being as powerful in the knee department as I once was find it difficult to ascend using the steering wheel for help. I know I can enter via the habitation door, but that's for cissies. I suppose my question is, can you buy add on heavy duty cab handles, or failing this which is the best bit to grab for leverage?

I believe that you can buy steps, like those fitted to some 4x4s to help you climb in and out.
They are going to be on my list if the arthritis gets much worse.

Have a look here Link Removed and scroll down a bit.
Scroll down a bit further and they do an electric retracting step as well.

You can also find electric steps here Broken Link Removed but I think they would be very expensive.

Personally I would favour the "running board" type of step.
Cheaper and less to go wrong.
I'll keep on searching. :thumb:
