I'M A NEWBIE
Hi
We have just joined and are still finding our way around this Motorhome
site, and so far have found it very helpful. After caravaning for many
years we deceided to buy a small motorhome, so we bought Autosleeper
Clubman GL.Can any body help with tyre problems. My tyres seem to
have dipped in the middle of the tread, I,ve been told that this is due to
being parked up for long periods, and that if I continue with these tyres
they will blowout. Has anyone had any experience of this problem:Doh:,
Thanks Yvonne & John:thumb:

Welcome to the FUN site :thumb: The tyres don't sound good but there'll be others on who will answer your question.

45 +years with breaks
Tyres that have been standing generaly develop flat spots easy to identify by the thump thump noise they make as the flat spot hits the tarmac
If the hollow section is all the way around the tyre It may suggest under inflation, are the edges more worn than the centre,
For the cost involved compared to your investment.
New tyres may be the order of the day 5 to 7 year old tyres are deemed ready for changing even if loads of tread left
The tyres are your only point of contact with the road:Eeek:
You dont need to spend a fortune on camper tyres either, in my opinion budget commercials will do just as well around £40-45 each:thumb:
