Any clue how to fix this

Mine did the same .. I fixed it by using self adhesive foam tape (draught excluder) where the old tape has deteriorated. You can then compress the foam by wrapping tightly with cloth or paper and slide the leg back up over the paper. Mine has been ok for 2-3 years but will probably drop again before long.

And mine.
I put clear tape around in the first place but it looked messy and didn’t hold well.
We very rarely lower the table so the next fix was to put a small self tapping screw through the outer sleeve - making sure it was overlapping the inner sleeve. That’s worked fine so far.

Swmbo tried with double sided foam tape, complaining about allsorts. I suggested that she leave the outer film on . It works perfectly. Thanks again
