I have started to let the missus drive our one, I usually try to fall asleep as there is no brake on the passenger side and I'm so much calmer when my eyes are shut.:oops2:
She'll feel calmer if you are asleep!

I'm a solo traveller so only me to drive. Love it and think I am a better driver since getting a MH: I seem to just take things easy and now even when in the car I tend to drive slower. Could be an age thing I suppose. Also have a toad which comes with me when on week long hols or longer.

I drive ours most of the time, I think its a good idea to have the other half drive it now and again just incase for some reason they need to drive.

My wife won't even drive my car (because a Kuga is so big!) let alone the MH!!

She's not on the MH insurance because if I'm incapacitated, she would become the 'qualified driver' under the policy and hence would have to get the vehicle home.

My wife drives our van, usually I drive the first part then she does the middle part then I take over so she can map read to make sure that we reach our destination safely. In fact she took the CC motorhome movability course recently and is great at reversing and parking the motorhome onto a pitch. (y)

Both our vans have been registered in Jill's name because we traded her car in for the first one so it was easier to do that.

At first we both used to drive but Jill normally drives these days. I don't really like driving all that much, Jill can relax more easily than I do when driving on long journeys and is more patient than me plus I am better at navigating :)

There's only me to drive so if I want to get anywhere............
Use a sat nav as can't cope with stopping to check a map, not safe to glance at written instructions and the dogs are no help at all!

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
My better half (her words not mine!) :D also drove with the horse trailer behind our Range Rover & can reverse a trailer perfectly. This skill has earned Hazel a round of applause when parking our caravan! She also owned & drove a Bedford TK horse lorry. This was a real & old school truck i.e. no power steering etc, the truck had a dodgy starter motor & Hazel knew just where to hit it with an English spanner (hammer). So driving our Sprinter poses no problems at all even though our drive has a really narrow pinch point she places it perfectly. The only thing that's annoyed her happened after being diagnosed with MS is that her driving license was put down to a maximum 3500kg!Even though her ability to drive has not changed.:(:( Fortunately the Sprinter falls into her 3500kg limit.:)

Refused (bottled out!) to drive ours for the first year even though I knew I really should. Eventually went on a motorhome manoeuvring course and I now drive it although I'm still a bit anxious. Here's a photo of me driving up the M6 - note the rictus grin and white knuckles!

on my own, I always drive and I do love it but then I love driving anything...... My little dog used to be my navigator and they were some of the happiest moments of my life.

Once you get used to using your left-hand wing mirror more than normal, when turning corners then there is no difference to a car other than you are safer.

I also have driven horse boxes so the motorhome is no problem to me.
When we had the 8.5 metre Frankia I used to tow the horse trailer behind.
