Near to where you want to put your BBQ or whatever and as close as you can to a supply you can connect to.

Our lpg tank is in the rear locker on the awning side of the vehicle so we had one fitted there and the hose goes through the locker hatch. It's a great location for putting the bbq.

Dave Newell did ours near the hab door and took supply from the kitchen area and did, even if I say so myself a great job, only SWMBO reminds me that I've yet to use it in anger, one day dear, one day. (y)

i would go for near to where you intend to use the barbie rather than closest point to a gas pipe if its in the wrong place you will tend not to use it ours is a pvc and i put mine far enough back to clear the sliding door i usually keep the barbie away from the door 0r the smell can get blown in not good if its fish
