Rats. I was getting a price of from £80 one way, but I kept changing around, and the price seemed to go up. Will keep trying. Probably cookies at play. Thanks for the heads up.

In the end I booked with the discount saving. Thanks for your heads up. Yet another reason I'm glad I signed up to MHF! It is easier and more convenient than a ferry and only marginally extra.

Now I need to find a park up for an early start which will give us nearly a full day to drive through France and make some distance.
