Hi Keith,

You might also need to look at Beefing up other bits if you change to a more torquey/powerful engine, as the transmission would have not been designed to take it.

Also the Brakes might req work.

Good Luck.:thumb:

Since 2005
personally i dont think it would fit Keith,

the casting/bell housing will be a different shape and the ratio's would be completely different in your box to the newer one and as steve said you will be putting a lot more load on the box than it was designed for.

the only other option would be to change both engine and box but then you have the problem of different driveshafts ect and the new engine will probably be ECU controlled so would need all the associated electronics that go with it.

you could try an aftermarket turbo conversion for your existing engine.

alhtough I would not be certain, I would say it wouldn't fit having a look at housings etc.

There could be agreat deal of work involved with doing a swap. You may be better looking at other beefing up what you have.

or of course just enjoy the journey and arrive late.::bigsmile:

It a pity TB turbo has gone bust as you could have retro fitted a turbo.
Are there any other firms that retro fit them?

Engine swop

Hi Badger,

We have sat in our garage a peugot 2.5 turbo diesel engine which we were going to put into our Land liner, but we swapped the motorhome, so the engine is still here.
I dont know much about it but Mick will be home about 4.30pm if you want to PM him.

Cheers
