I suspect that may work to some degree, although it would leave the pipe exposed - not very attractive, and vulnerable to knocks and bangs I think. This is what it looks like behind the deflector;

Or just give up on a piece of s**t, archaic design, and replace with a modern 12v Compressor fridge freezer.

I understand that this goes against the grain but imagine the mental peace you will have, not worrying about fridge or freezer temps!!!

It is a 12V compressor fridge freezer. Am I missing what you mean?

I'll change my advice then....

Get a Thetford 12v Compressor fridge freezer.... :whistle2:

No need....I have a new Dometic unit coming under warranty now. Fingers crossed it performs better than the original!
