Well, a new one has arrived and works perfectly.

The old ones are still dead with the new power lead, and the old power leads work fine with a Kindle. So I don’t think it can have been the power leads at fault.

And I can’t see how it was a power surge or similar - the newer 4k duff one has hardly ever been connected up. Both the dead ones were hardly ever used, only as a backup option - it’s almost as though they died of feeling neglected!!

A number of Amazon Fire TV Sticks are stuck at the logo screen following a recent update. Amazon appears stumped by the problem.​

Did an Amazon Update Accidentally Brick Fire TV Devices?​

A number of Amazon Fire TV Sticks are stuck at the logo screen following a recent update. Amazon appears stumped by the problem.​

I don’t think this was the issue - we weren’t even getting a logo or anything to indicate any of the TVs were recognising there was a Firestick connected. But certainly it could be a similar update-related cause. Nothing else really seems to fit (2 fire sticks in 3 TVs all not recognised.)
