Just noticed today that every time I start the engine my dashboard clock sets itself to 0.00. Its a fiat ducato 03 plate, am I doing something wrong?

sounds like a broken wire/poor connection on the clocks 'memory' supply.

cranking the engine will disconnect the clocks normal (ign on) supply and if the memory supply is down it will reset to 0000.

similar to a radio....memory supply when ign off....full supply when ign on.

there may be more than one clock fuse....worth a look.
