DART CHARGE BEWARE!!

    I have a Dart Charge Account with six registered vehicles, I have just checked the crossing history only to find that there were 61 charged crossings where no registration was shown and one for a vehicle not on my account. At £1.67 per crossing this totals £101.87. Nearly all of our crossings are at HGV Rate and our cars rarely cross. I would point out that they did manage to charge my MH correctly.
    I am waiting for the refund and explanation.

    It is a fact that there are problems with their monitoring equipment so if anyone else has a charge account suggest you keep an eye on your history.

    If you sell your vehicle be sure to delete from your account. My son recently bought a car, had cause to use crossing so attempted to add car to his account, a message came up stating the car was already registered. So hopefully previous owner has at least 2x £1.67 on his account else he will need to pay the shortfall within time limit, but how will he know unless my son contacts him?
    Son will need to contact him to ask him to remove car so son can put it on his own account, and refund him £3.34!

    I used the crossing at the beginning of October, I genuinely forgot to pay, only remembered 3 days later. to date I`ve heard nothing, I realise I may have to pay a fine, I made a mistake, thems is the rules, but how long do they have to charge you?

    They wrote to me months after I forgot. Thought I might have got away with it but they got me in the end. Luckily they drop the late fine on the first offence. Soon had me setting up an account :)

    My nephews business partner uses it a huge amount yet gets fined at least twice a month ? & he has an account ? I assume he must forget to top it up.:unsure:

    I have an account & so far, fingers crossed, they've managed not to muck it up(y)

    I did exactly the same thing. Phoned them, and they just took the normal charge.
    I was pleasantly surprised.:)

    My account tops up automatically but I have not had any lolly taken out of my account and going to them..

    We usually either go on the bike if visiting, or try and travel after 10pm if we are in the van

    One thing I would like to say.. In my dealings ( so far :) ) with the 'Dart' people, they have been absolutely brilliant ..
    Very nice to talk to and get things sorted out very quickly too
