We've had poor performance from our leisure batteries for a few weeks now - not holding their charge very well. Reading posts on here I noticed the possibility that one might be dragging the other down so I have had them separately on charge. One of them went up to 14.1 on charge, the other only made it to 13.2
They are AGM batteries and I'm using a charger that has an AGM setting. If I disconnect the one that has only made it to 13.2 and try using just the other one will it help? We're trying to get back to the UK from Spain without paying silly prices for our replacement batteries.
If that fails we'll be in France in a week or so and will get some from batterie megastore.
Thanks ... and apologies for yet another battery thread.

Exactly what I would otherwise the low battery will drag the good one down.

Interesting AGM's failing with the correct charger, however I'm not surprised.

Better to disconnect the bad one but you will obviously only have half the capacity using one battery.

That's what I would do, you might be surprised how much you get out of one good battery. ;)

We've only just got the charger having discovered that our Sargent controller doesn't give enough charge. Too late for these batteries I suspect.
Bin them and get some decent flooded cells or Gel's only take the Gel option if your charger has a Gel setting.
