Has anyone got a good method of cleaning the fly screens on the window blinds, without taking the whole thing apart?

Ours are very grubby and grey, even though I vacuume them regularly. I have tried wiping them with a damp cloth but it's difficult when you cannot put too much pressure on them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks muchly
Sandra

Try a very stiff paint brush or stencil brush.

Our kitchen one is quite dirty, not been cleaned properly in 7 years.
So gently sprayed with a 25% Actiwash mix and agitated with a toothbrush for 2 minutes then gently sponged down with warm water. Towel along the bottom to collect the brown water šŸ¤¢ it just ran off.

Stopped half way for a comparison photo but it doesn't do it justice, the right side is back to brand new šŸ‘Œ

We used to do this yearly. Regularly hoovered the inside and brushed the habitation door inside & out regularly. Then once a year we used astonish mould & mildew cleaner on a cloth and washed both sides with the other person giving support with another cloth on the opposite side whilst holding the bottom of the blind handle so it didnā€™t retract with force. Then same again with clean water to rinse them then dry with a tea towel to leave down, under tension with the window open to dry it out fully. Tried not to get the full blind wet to prevent it being rolled up and damp Still at the top. Never had a problem this way in 8 years šŸ˜œ

I opened the window so the spray through just runs down the window and drips outside.. The sill and catches are spotless now too šŸ˜Ž
