Hi all

Why do they make electric tyre pumps leads so short?
I bought a automatic cutoff pump from Euro parts normal price £33 used code PAYDAY 50 cost me £18:95. So went to check tyre pressures but the lead was too short so rummaged around the workshop found some bits and bobs scrounged some wire off my neighbour, made the extension lead up, and guess what, it don’t work so going next door to get ex lift engineer to check what I had done wrong. Just another thing you need. I reacon that my MH will weigh 4ton by the time I have added all the thing I might need???

I made up a 12v extension lead years ago and the compressor ran too slow to be any use.... It was only getting around 10v under load.
Long leads = high volt drop.

Extend the air hose but only by as much as it needs.

Have you checked that the 10A fuse in the 12v circuit hasn't blown. Mine blew a fuse the first time I plugged in a Maplin compressor to do the tyres.

Crocodile clips to run directly off the cab battery are better.
