Have spent the last 2 days on a CL in the middle of Cannock Chase - great for walking and wildlife. Managed to see woodlark, cuckoo and a pair of woodcocks that I flushed when I almost trod on them! Also more usual suspects such as willow warbler, chiffchaff, stonechat and whitethroat, plus a raven at a small disused quarry. There were even peacocks at the CL itself!
