At present I am using the awful internal silver screen with suckers pending a more permanent solution. I really like the Seitz blinds but would appreciate it if anyone out there can tell me are they insulated. Just wondering if I was to pay out the guts of £500 for the cab sides and front window will I still need to pay out for external silverscreen for the cold months.

    Think laterally !

Glue the silver screens on with superglue and you have a permanent solution.

    hi,
the Seitz blinds are like household blinds, only fixed to runners.
i dont think they have any more thermal properties than curtains.

internal screens will/can cause condensation on the screen and are only reflective.
great in hot, sunny weather to reflect the heat but neither use nor ornament in winter.

external screens dont and are thermal/insulating keeping heat in.

I binned the Seitz blinds that are standard with my van because of the horrendous blind spots that the surrounds cause.

    Not to be recommended.

Would go for outside screens every time.

Ours came with Seitz blinds as standard tried them as pappajohn says they don't stop condensation, nealy had enough water for a swiming pool from front screen.:Doh:good only to keep out sun and prying eyes.
