Anyone have a suggestion on how to remove rings made on a table by placing too hot tea mug on top (asking for a friend 🙂)

Yes, thank you
I went to a local timber merchants and got an off cut worktop made to the same size as the motorhome one, bit of matching trim and all for under £20, took the *old one* off and will re fit when we sell on. have had things drop on motorhome tables and punch holes in them and have also had a friend who made marks with too hot objects!

After some way to ‘polish’ off marks rather than replace top 😊 (easy life🤪)

Held on with eight screws underneath and took it to Savoy Timber in Preston on Fylde Road. They have acres of worktop ends up to 1500mm in length in a wide variety of thickness and materials from £5 upwards and a cutting service plus the trim to match, the trim is held on with a contact adhesive and when properly dry just trimmed off with a sharp knife and gently sanded down, saves a fortune, Took the *old* one as a template, *someone* (no names no pack drill!) in my family has previous for dropping sharp/heavy objects onto motorhome tables and they are usually eggbox construction to save weight and not very strong. the *old one* is stored away and will be refitted when/if we sell the van Total cost for worktop cutting and trim was £20 and £1.88 for the glue, I had the knife and sandpaper, its very easy once the cutting has been done.

Since 1996, had Elddis/Swift/Rapido/Rimor/Chausson MHs. Autocruise/Globecar PVCs/Compactline i-138
One of the first things I do when we get a new MH is either remove the table top and put in my own or ensure that the original is totally enclosed/protected with padding on top and plastic table cover ... it's difficult to teach dogs not to scratch or chew them so best be safe!

In the past I on the recommendation of others used a mix of furniture polish like Mr Sheen with Brasso and it worked a treat
