Hi everyone just wondering if anyone has managed to get breakdown cover to include Eastern Europe,I joined the CCC so that I could get cover for my 1994 Rockwood Embassy from the RAC only to be told that they would not cover Hungary,Serbia and Bulgaria,on this scheme and they wont do it separately as the vehicle is over 7 metres long.Has anyone got any suggestions?

If other Eu countries are covered then so should Hungary and Bulgaria be. We have driven to Hungary for over 20 years and never had an insurance problem.
We were refused insurance for Serbia 2 years ago so the situation may be the same now, why not try a broker for that, though I believe you can buy insurance at the border.
Is it something to do with the age of your m/h?
    hope you sort it out,
    Violet

A lot depends upon precisely where in east europe. Bulgaria and Hungary are certainly covered by most companies, but if venturing as far east to countries such as Ukraine you will find you need specialist insurance.

As for countries like Belarus for example, you can only get insurance at the border.....and actually getting in is a challenge itself which I never succeeded in!
