Well, after 5 months of looking (and a couple more of research and umm'ing and arr'ing), we have finally bought our 1st campervan. We decicded before Xmas we were either being to picky or looking in too narrower area. So we extended our search area and decided to be more flexible. In the end it was the search area that clinched it. Yesterday we drove 240 miles to IH in Yorkshire to view one of their older conversions they had, and we loved, and as a bonus it actually fulfils all our original requirements list.
So, shortly, we will be the proud owners of an IH 2005 Tio Savannah, comes with awning, tow bar, alarm, rev sensor, air suspension, and as part of the deal we get; new upholstery and carpets, 2 new 85A leisure batteries, TV, four new tyres, U/G lighting to LED's, years warranty/tax/mot, and they are sticking a solar panel on. The van and internals are in excellent condition for their age. We collect it next month.
Must admit the people at IH were very friendly and helpful, and at no time did we feel pressured, in fact we spent about 3 hours there.
We've read a lot of posts over the months and they have been very helpful, so thanks to all those people who share their knowledge and experience with us newbies.
Now on to the shopping list and planning those holidays....
