We are looking to purchase a bike rack but not sure where to start. Who has the best deals, we only need to carry a couple of bikes. Are they easy to fit and do they need a professional fit for the warranty?

bike rack

::bigsmile:hi...iv had a couple of bike racks, fiamma and omnistore, fiamma wins hands down for me,as for fitting, its not just a case of screwing it to the back of the van,you may need to have some of the internal cabinets removed to fix the mounting brackets that hold the rack in place, but its no big deal if you are a fair diy fan...but you may be better off having it done by a pro.have a look on ebay.for a fiamma carry bike pro, sometimes get a good bargain, if not, try towsure, probably expect to pay around £130. good luck happy camping..regards steve.

Best bike rack we have found is the Thule tow bar bike rack, it fit's on the tow ball and low as well as some of the fiamma or omnistor racks are quite high, they can fit from 2 to 4 bikes and most halfords sell them.:thumb:

HI Gaynor,

If you give us a ring with the details of your van, we will be able to advise you a lot more as to whether your van is a suitable DIY job, some are, some arent!
