I’m driving a 3.3ton vehicle, but not seeing discussion of this here. I just drove from France through to Netherlands and saw a motorway sign indicating a Satellic Viapass was required for >3tons vehicles. It transpired that it was an odd-looking graphic and 3.5t is the specification. This may also only be for commercial vehicles - frankly the website is not clear about >3.5t non-commercial vehicles.
So I ignored it. Some Funsters might know…

All the gear, and no idea!
Just commercials. As an aside funflair Martin in france especially towards Calais it displays a 90kmh sign then 20m further on it says 70kmh over 3.5t does this mean mohos over 3.5t? There’s no lorry sign (I know some signs in France display the lorry and 3.5t) so I don’t know??
Anyone??

I think it means anything over 3.5t and a picture of a truck would mean only trucks but I honestly am not sure.

If it’s a circle with 3.5t then my understanding is it applies to all vehicles over 3.5t. If it also depicts a lorry then it applies to commercial vehicles only, just like in the U.K, so a 4t MH is exempted from whatever restriction
Is of course factually correct. I would just add that if a limit in town is set as low as 3.5t it might be quite narrow and worth a quick recce.
