Made my mind up :)

going to get an underslung gas tank, put a 225ah battery in the gas locker and hopefully have enough space left for a hookup wire, hosepipe and maybe my chocks ::bigsmile:

going to cost but I think the best way to do it..

At least that way it is all reversable if/when I change my van :thumb:

Had enough of this now.

Went up to the Van last night to get it ready to go camping this weekend.

Turned the lights on, thought "thats strange, not very bright" checked the reading on the motorhome battery indicator thingy and it said empty :-(

Battery is brand new Numax 113Ah fitted last weekend, not charged by me since fitting but was 12.x V in shop.

Tested with meter - 10.5v :-(

put it on charge and charger only giving out 12v - hmm

so I either have a dodgy battery or a drain in the system, and it sounds like my charger is not charging properly either as I would have expected 14.x volt ?

left the EHU on last night so going to nip up at lunch time to find out what the state is then ...

no fun this, would have hoped that after spending all this money on a new (to me) van that I should be leaving problems like this behind me

and I can't find enough room for a reasonable size underslung gas tank so that idea is on hold now..
