I'm wanting to fit a device to charge both engine and leisure batteries from my solar panel.

Is this device okay, has anyone bought and used it, and are they reasonably easy to fit or do they need a qualified electrician to do the fitting?

I fitted one to our Autoquest 100 and one to our son's old Cavalier Coachman CF camper. Dead easy and worked fine.

My main reservation is the point that it is rated a 4 amps, so is only good for about 80 watts of solar panel

They connect to your leisure battery and trickle charge your engine battery, they cut out when the leisure battery voltage drops to 12.7v.
I have 2 fitted to my Transit as I have an auxiliary battery as well.
