I've got to change my lead acid 110 ah batteries as they're 5 years old now and not holding their charge, I've been offered two 110ah Elecsol batteries for £240, they come with 5 year g/tee and are maintanance free, is there any better batteries around,:thumb:

@£120 each that is full retail not an offer. they can be bought for £100 average
Not the way i'd go simple lead acid has served you well for 5 years at half the cost

i agree with geo. i think elecsol are about the worse battery you could buy . get a reasonable wet truck battery. works for me and it seems its worked for you.

I agree with Geo...stick with lead/acid.

the 5 year guarantee is pretty much worthless as its on a pro-rata basis at best.

a failed 3 year old elecsol battery will get you a 40% reduction on the cost of replacing like for like...a 4 year old one will get you a 20% reduction.
they will not replace 'free of charge' or refund the difference.

or they may just blame a poor maintanance/charging regime and reject the claim in full.
