I purchased a mercedes 208d 1990 autotrail a year ago and i dont think the battery system is working properly. if i switch over to the 12v system it does not seem to last more than about an hour or two. can anybody help

hi and welcome.

sounds like a faulty charger or your battery is not taking/holding a charge

my money is on a duff battery.

it should never be discharged below 50% and then recharged straight away or internal damage is very likely..

Hi there

i am only using lights and fridge on the 12v system but only for short periods.:thumb:

The fridge should only operate on 12v when the engine is running, this is because it takes a lot of power to operate. If your fridge is cooling on 12v without the engine running this could be the problem.
