Automatic version, sticking to roughly 60mph, we get 24mpg.

When I had the same chassis/engine on a starline Hymer, I got around 26/27 per Gallon. Very good MPG.

Thank you all, Run a early sprinter now but thought a 316 could be the way to go especially for towing our trailer,

i get 24 mpg at 55 mph towing a fiat panda on a trailer and slightly less towing the same car on an a-frame. maybe its down to to the fact that the trailer has two wheels and less friction? also had it remapped so quite happy with the mpg considering this and the fuel used was from fill up to next fill up.
