After approx 80 mile run, we arrived at Coulon .... what they call French Venice...
And I can see why they call it that, if you have not been and like walking by rivers or cycling it`s a place to put in your "Must Visit Book"...
It is fabulous,,, the Aire is big and spacious, Toilet block, water, Grey dump, Elsan Dump... and there are approx 6 - 8 EHU,,,, supposedly for using for an hour or so to top up batteries etc.... but the French seem to think they are for permanent use...
Only 7.50 euros a night... but be warned the machine does not like UK cards... not a problem... ask a nice French camper to use their`s and give them the cash.... you get a slip of paper given with a code number on,,,, when you want to go or when your time is up... just punch in the number on the slip of paper and the barrier will open..
It is right by one of the big rivers, although you cannot see it from the Aire because of the tree`s... the town with all the bar`s and restaurants and shops is literally 5 mins level walk away..
It is possibly one of the best Aires we have been on for space and the layout..
Google "Coulon" and zoom in on the place,, I`m not sure but there seems to be hundreds of little rivers and attributies..
Well pleased we came...
Few photo`s..
Decided to treat myself... Sod my weight, I`m on Holiday...
