i have a new TRIBUTE T-625 m/home on a transit base, "MY" trouble is getting into the drivers seat, without getting a rupture, there is about 12inches between the armrests, so its a matter of armrests down, make love to the radio, while lifting the drivers armrest behind me, then sit down,
so i tried removing the armrest the outer plastic arm resting bit comes off, no problem, but there is a metal tube, [that the arm swings on] that is sticking out. i want to remove said tube [without sawing it off] i have very gently tried with grips, but it seems rock steady, and i dont want to damage it, as when i sell the van[ the new owner may be a stick insect,] and want to refit.
so will it unscrew [and which way] local ford dealer say "dont know never had to remove one" m/dealer says " bring it in we will have a look" but its a 60 mile round trip, plus they always book another cruse on what they charge
any help lads. GEORGE :thumb:
