They are in my Hymer 552CL.

I would like to swap them for LEDs but can't get them out of their holder if indeed they actually do come apart.

pictures show light hanging out of cupboard, in cupboard and one in the skylight

Look the same as mine. The outside holder remains in place in the locker, the inner ring pulls out releasing the lens and gives access to bulb.

What they said. (y)

The lens does come out but they can be bloody fiddly until you get the knack.

Easiest to use a very small screwdriver and work around the edge of the rim to prise the metal ring out (it will unfortunately probably scratch the ring a bit)
Good news is that the led should then last ages be carefull to get one thin enough for the cover to fit on and try to get one which works with both polarites as if its flat and onl works one way it could be akward.

Did all ours, holding ring flicks out when you put end of small screwdriver in the cut out bit you can see on the last photo, the first one was a bit like how Ian the builder was feeling this morning but really easy once you get the hang of it.

I ended up having to wait for a meet with Funsters to ask for help getting mine out. It took them ages too .... really, really fiddly .. I'm sure they could have made easier access. :(
