For Paris initially it would seem, similar to the London congestion charge. Paris are looking to ban all diesel vehicles eventually.

I read somewhere that there's going to be an EU-wide initiative based on the Euro 5 standard for emissions.

Germany is already doing a Euro 6 Blue badge which will supersede the existing Umwelt badges, in effect a Green badge plus.

Confusing isn't it?

Their method of measurement may well be confusing but there logic and motivation to reduce emissions although a little later than hoped is admirable.

Perhaps on this thread we will see less "Why does anyone buy NEW ?" comments.

I agree. A prime factor in our recent decision to buy new was the Euro 6+ engine spec. Our previous MH was Euro 3, and we travel a lot in Europe - it was already barred from the centre of a number of German cities. We could have this next MH until we're too old or knackered to use one any more, so we needed to future-proof it.

Won't be any room left on the windscreen soon, so far 10 countries have Low Emmission zones and just to confuse matters in Italy in some towns they only apply in the winter.

Thanks for this.

Just had a look at the "application" site and it seems that our MH might be ultra vires this scheme (first reg last century) so no trips on city centre metros for us then. At least that saves €4.18 which could go towards a Euro 6 if I were so inclined.

So motorhoming will become a pass time of the wealthy and elite.
Not everyone can buy new

In this context I might count as French but I am unrepresentative as I don't have a modern MH.

Sorry
