On our current trip and a stone hit the screen.
Chip the size of a pound coin in the upper third middle of screen.
Called Comfort and got put through to National Windscreens.
They couldn’t respond for three days so booked an extra day on the site we were staying at.
Technician arrived yesterday and said not repairable needs a new screen.
As it needs to be ordered from Germany and be a few weeks he said to get it ordered from my local depot at home.
Apparently National Windscreens are franchised so it appears one branch won’t liase with another.
Reported all back to National Windscreens call centre. They took all details again and sadly we didn’t get a call back.
Will have to chase them today to find out where we stand.
Not sure if the depot can order from info or will need to see the van.
Looks like we will cut this trip short as need it sorted before MOT and overseas trip .

You need to speak to their specialists in Bristol as they do all the commercial work. Good luck they took 6 months to do mine, 4 of those to transfer to Bristol.

Thought I would add an update.
After two weeks had a phone call saying my screen was in and could they come and fit it.
Two guys arrived from my local Portsmouth depot yesterday afternoon. They knocked on the door and said “ They’ve sent us out with a Fiat Ducato windscreen.
After a discussion where I informed them that they had ordered a genuine Hymer screen from Travelworld they shrugged and said someone was just saying what I wanted to hear. I said that I had spoken to their special glazing division in Bristol to which they said it didnt exist.
They then offered to do a chip repair.
I asked if my screen was on order then surely this would cancel out that order and the claim would be settled.
Furthermore how could one technician say it wasn’t repairable and another say it was.
They rang their manager and it was left that they would try and source the correct screen but if not they would carry out a repair before I get a ferry at the end of the month.
After they left I went through my phone records and called the number of the dept. that had ordered my new screen.
They confirmed it was 100% on order and were Staggered why my local depot were involved.
Upshot is that it seems two job cards were created after the original technician wouldn’t do a repair.
One went to Portsmouth and one to the specialist glazing dept.
The wait continues.
My thoughts were that if sourcing the screen takes me past my ferry date I will see if they can defer fitting and I would pay another company for a chip repair so that my insurance company weren’t involved.

Personally, I would leave the screen on order, go as planned and just take a spare wiper blade with me.
