nope. Not these days.
I think a short idle is more harmful than a long one. The engine won't warm up so condensation will form in the exhaust and potentially in the cylinders when you switch off. Plus any DPF may not feel it is getting best treatment.
sorry to say it I rarely do but that's not true in this day and age. Yes it was in the past but now days these things are so clean it doesn't matter.
I had the very conversation with the head of fiat's technical department a good few years ago regarding the subject.

I have no hair but Nikki does, and she likes to dry it.
My set up is x 2 125 semi tractions,
200 Amp Solar panels,
B2B charger,
When we use the hairdryer, Microwave etc we run the engine for 20 Mins-- we tend to go off power for 4 or 5 days with no issues even in Winter with our setup
