Hi my name is Joe Woods I am the relationship manager at 2Gether insurance, 2Gether insurance are a niche specialist Insurer and have been for over a decade. Myself and 2Gether particularly have a lot of experience with clubs and forums and its members. I am here to offer my services to all the members on this forum and build a relationship up hopefully with you all. We have seen in recent years that other specialist brokers and providers are no longer offering the “personal touch” and moving towards a more automated call centre environment. 2Gether are best placed to offer this hands on approach, hence why we have set up our dedicated team who only deal with our owners clubs members enquiries. You get best of market rates, top notch service from specialist underwriters as opposed to impersonal robotic telephone operators.

Some of the benefit's that you "Funsters" Can enjoy:

  • • Up to 25% club member discount off of motor insurance policies
  • • Agreed vehicle value
  • • Substantial limited mileage discounts
  • • A dedicated club team (Bypassing the typical options menus and attendant)
  • • Major Insurers such as Liverpool & Victoria, KGM @ Lloyds, Chaucer, Aviva and Ageas
  • • Free legal cover and accident management
  • Limited Mileage Discount's
  • Extended Contents and Awning cover
  • Specialist Motor Breakdown

We hope to hear from you all very soon. (y)

We would like to fully introduce ourselves to all of the members, i am delighted to announce that 2Gether Insurance and MotorhomeFun have struck up a working relationship, I am sure many of you have had or do have policies with 2Gether but our aim is now to increase the amount of members that we can save £££ on your cover.

We have a dedicated club team that only deal with club members, this ensures that you are getting the best rates and attention. The phone number for the dedicated team is in the title 01945 586220, this bypasses our auto attendant so no pressing options to get through.some of the benefits are:

• Dedicated Club line
• 25% member Discount
• Agreed Value
• Limited Mileage Discounts
• Salvage retention
• Low excess' (or nil xs if you purchase our excess Insurance)

Give us a call and find out for yourselves, lovely meeting you all and we are here to answer any questions or queries

I have found that several insurers won't cover my vehicle because it is classed as being parked 'on the street' - this isn't strictly correct as it is in a dedicated parking bay belonging to the property. Before I go through the process of supplying all the necessary details can you please confirm you would be able to cover my PVC in these circumstances? My renewal is due in approx 60 days.

Thanks

Ah well - if you don't answer your phones you won't get any business .
Not much use having a super-duper Funsters direct line if no-one picks up.

No thanks, I don't need a callback - I've gone with a MHF trusted favourite - AIB (y).

Very sorry to hear your call didn't get answered, we have been very busy lately with a very high volume of calls, one of the reasons i am on this forum is to prevent things like this happening where you can book your time and date when you NEED calling, fingers crossed in future you can take advantage of this service.

It's your business of course - but I'd have thought that when customers actually sit down to do the "ring around" chore, they'd much rather get an instant response - either by website or phone - rather than "booking" a callback.
As you well know, insurance is a very competitive business.
The advantage of advertising & becoming a member on this site is that you get access to a large market - the disadvantage is that the same readership can instantly see when you don't live up to your 'promises'.

I'm not the only poster who hasn't had his call answered on the 'direct' line.

I'm now happy with cover I've bought from another long term, highly recommended advertiser here.
Maybe next year ;).

I do need insurance within the next two months.
However, no-one answers the phone.
I'm sitting here, right now, just listening to it ring out.

I've got to say that when it comes to time for me to sort mine out when I decide to do it I'm going to want to sit down and get it dealt with there and then. Anyone who I can't speak to there and then is pretty unlikely to get the business.

I find idea of having to book a callback is slightly off putting. One of the things that really winds me up is when someone doesn't answer the phone. I recently dumped a major supplier at work because they didn't answer the phone 3 times in a row.

Not wishing to muddy the waters but I thought there were traders rules within the forum....... ie: a link to your business in your signature or avatar but no direct touting for business unless specifically asked.

Unfair to have a rule for some but not for others.

MotorhomeFun Traders Rules
Traders, please Read This Before Joining MotorhomeFun

We seem to have more and more traders finding our forum, joining us and then immediately promoting their commercial interests. This is not allowed. Whilst you are most welcome here, you should be aware that this is a motorhome enthusiast website. It is not a place for you to freely promote your company.

We would like you to join, there are many benefits of doing so, but please follow the site rules. If you do break the rules I just do not have the time to.

  • Delete all your posts.
  • Delete your signature
  • Write to you and point you toward the rules
  • Wait for your email where you tell me, "sorry I didn't see the rules"

So if you break the rules then your account here will simply be deleted in its entirety. This can be done quickly with just one mouse-click. In addition to being banned your company name will be added to our word censor so it will be physically impossible for your company to be even mentioned here again.

The rules are simple and easy to understand, please adhere to them.
If you are a trader (you sell motorhomes or any motorhome related items) you must notify admin and they will add the term "Trade Member" or similar under your name. Traders must remember that the forums are for motorhome enthusiasts to discuss their hobby and not for you to sell your wares. Spamming the forum will result in accounts being terminated and will not show your company in a very good light. . COMMERCIAL LINKS IN SIGNATURES ARE RESTRICTED TO FORUM SPONSORS ONLY

Traders WHO ARE SPONSORS may include a link in their signature to commercial sites. They should be one line long only. A traders username cannot be the same or similar to the trading name unless they are a site sponsor. Traders may include a link to their commercial site in their profile only

Tips for Traders posting on Motorhome Fun
If you are a trader, you are most welcome here. Unlike some forums we appreciate that your knowledge and expertise can benefit the membership. What we do NOT want, EVER. is a sales pitch, in fact if you spam the forum with your messages, then it will probably be resented by the membership and you will get the exact opposite of what you want to achieve! If you have products or services to sell, please follow the tips below which should benefit you and the enthusiasts here.

To be fair, I believe he was just introducing themselves on this " introduction " thread... so am happy to cut this guy a little slack regards 'forum' rulz.
He's become a advertiser, he's introduced himself and is getting flack because he's trying to answer forumites questions.
On a personal basis I quickly decided this broker wasn't for me this year...
...but I really don't think 2gether is trying to take unfair advantage.

As I said...rules are rules.

While most replies are informative and helpful there are more than a couple suggesting arranging a call back from the company.....that, in my book, is touting for trade and breaking said rules.
