Somebody said to me at the Thetford Bash that the coordinates for the rally seemed to put them in the North Sea somewhere.
I have checked the coordinates and they are correct.
Latitude 54.691173 Longitude -1.205604
HOWEVER take care with the longitude because it has a MINUS sign in front of it. if you enter it as a positive number it WILL put you in the North Sea. Some satnavs require West or East. in which case enter it as WEST 1.205604
Hope that clears up any confusion.

Hi, sorry we are not sure we will make the rally. We were travelling up the m6 yesterday, had a loss of power and ended up on the hard shoulder. A few minutes later a HGV truck hit us and took out the bathroom and most of the side panel. Not sure how long it will take to get things sorted with insurance etc.

Sorry, but we are going to have to pull out of this one - we were going to make it a week long trip but things have come up during the week before and so it's too far away to come just for the weekend.

If anyone who is going to the Hartlepool rally was intending taking their van in the Tees Transporter Bridge then I'm afraid they will be disappointed as it is closed yet again and probably still will be when the rally is on - though it does make a change that it's because of unconnected works rather than trying to keep it creaking along.
